GORDIAN the WARRIOR” is a robot animation produced by Tatsunoko Productions in 1979.
The story takes place in the near future, when humanity is threatened by Madokutor, a space crime organization that targets Earth’s resources.
The young hero, Daigo Otaki, decides to follow in his father’s footsteps and fight aboard “Gordian,” a robot with a three-tiered structure.
He pilots a unique system that allows him to merge into a small robot “Protessor,” a medium-sized “Derringer,” and a giant robot “Gerbin” one after the other, thereby demonstrating his overwhelming combat power.
Supported by the bonds with his friends and lovers, Daigo takes on the fierce battle against Madokutor in order to protect the future of humanity and freedom.
This work, which depicts themes of courage, friendship, and justice, still enjoys strong popularity today for its innovative robot design and profound drama.
