The Space Knight

In the 21st century, human beings have become unable to live on Earth due to environmental destruction, and have been promoting space migration. However, just then, the Waldastar, a villainous star group that plans to conquer the universe, attacks the earth.

Using a special device called the “Tech Set System” given to him by Director Tenchi, Nanjoji of the Space Development Center transforms himself into the superhuman warrior Tekkaman and confronts the invaders.

His companions are Hiromi, the director’s daughter, Andro Umeda, a mysterious man, Mutan, a space creature, and Pegas, a transforming robot.

They form the “Space Knights” and fight for the defense of the earth and the space migration of mankind.

Tomonori Kogawa

Kogawa Tomonori was born in 1950 in Hokkaido.
He began working in animation with the animation "Star of the Giants" (1968), and went on to work on key animation for Tatsunoko Productions' works such as "Science Ninja Team Gatchaman" (1972) and "Hurricane Polymar" (1974).
The animated film Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato (1978), for which he served as character designer and chief animation director, was a huge hit that will go down in film history.
From the late 1970s, he teamed up with director Yoshiyuki Tomino and worked on robot anime produced by Sunrise, from Invincible Steel Man Daitarn 3 (1978) to Heavy Metal L-Gaim (1984). He served as animation director for Neon Genesis Evangelion (1995) under the name Hanabatake Mau, and has been involved in many anime under several pen names.
In addition, his drawing technique books "Animation Drawing Methods" and "Animation Drawing Methods - Practical Edition," published in 1986, influenced subsequent creators.
Since 2000, he has continued to work in such works as "Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei" (2007), "Zoku: Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei" (2008), "Space Battleship Yamato Resurrection" (2009), "Hometown Revival: Japanese Folktales" (2012), "Space Battleship Yamato 2199" (2012), "Lupin the Third" (2015), and "6HP Six Heart Princess" (2017).
Recently, he has expanded his activities by performing on stage as an actor and continuing to create rice paddy art.
